Application Fraud is on the rise says a report by a leading credit agency in the UK. Knowingly falsifying personal information to obtain products or services with no intent to pay seems like a natural choice for fraudsters – well, what are the odds of getting caught by filling an application online for a flashy new iPhone? If you get it, great; if you don’t, try again.
Why is electronic Visitor Access System better than paper log books?
Imagine a visitor walking in, and instead of writing on a piece of paper, types into a computer terminal (a touch enabled tablet will do no harm). The system then prints a paper pass, sends an Email and SMS notification to the host, keeps a record of the building passes issued and monitors the check-in and check-out times of the visitors. The security manager can pull out reports at will. Wouldn’t this be cool?
What is IRSF Fraud?
International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF) has been around for a decade, yet, there is little awareness among leading communication service providers, let alone start-ups and small service providers. International Revenue Share Fraud
International Revenue Share Fraud (IRSF) test numbers are extremely valuable if used in a hot list to alert CSPs of a possible or pending IRSF attack.
Credit Referrals – An important but much hated word.
The word ‘credit referrals’ or ‘you’ve been referred to a credit Analyst sir!’ does not go down well with potential customers, particularly when the customer is waiting to get his hands on the next iPhone. Almost all businesses, with a few exceptions, use a risk assessment scoring methodology to score an application prior to parting […]

While this may provide immediate and […]
Moving in with the times – website upgraded to version 3.0
It is our third major release since 2011. And our second release done in-house. It has been an interesting couple of weeks and thought I’d share a few insights. To be honest, we had been postponing the upgrade for a few months now as client work and new product features took priority. Finally, we managed […]
Be Fraud Aware – Always look over your shoulders.
Fraud is as some claim as old as humanity itself and it’s not going to disappear any time soon. If you are a business, particularly a start-up business, being aware of fraud can reduce the risk of falling victim to fraud. The impact of fraud does not stop with revenue loss for the business. The […]
