What is document identification?

Document identification or document classification is a way to ensure that the correct document is uploaded by your customers. For instance, if you have your customers upload a driving license (front side) and driving license (back side) as part of your application and KYC process, you can use document identification API to verify that the document is indeed driving license and the front and back sides are correct. This will avoid document rejection at later stages of your application process and improve customer experience the first time.

How does it work?

At its most basic, once the customer uploads an ID image, you will make an API call to check if the correct document has been uploaded. If the correct document is uploaded, it will return a pass response. If an incorrect document is detected, it will return a fail response. Based on the responses, you can decide on the next steps in the customer journey.

How do you protect my data?

The image once identified by our server is immediately destroyed thereby not storing your document at all. The image passed (as base 64) will be encrypted using AES 256 encryption and the image is not stored in the server once the response is passed back to the application making it totally secure. Besides we are an ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 company and audited through a CERT-IN auditor every year. If this is still an issue, we can deploy this on-premises or on your private cloud.
